Multiple Sclerosis Patients Especially Sensitive to Heat

TaTa Coolerz was recently featured in a Healthline.com article about MS and heat sensitivity.

"Another creative approach to addressing hot weather symptoms, for women in particular, is TaTa Coolerz, developed by businesswoman Kim Gillespie. These cooling pads are, as you’d expect, worn concealed inside the bra.

“We began working on the prototype in 2009 for a cooling device that could be discreetly worn by women to help cool core body temperatures," Gillespie said. "Hopefully, once the patent is approved, we will have the funding to create a whole line of products."

MS patients are especially vulnerable to high heat, but there are several products on the market to help them keep cool this summer.

Heat Intolerance

Heat Intolerance?
TaTaCoolerz can help bring relief ... www.TaTaCoolerz.com

"Most people do not like extreme heat, but if you have heat intolerance, you might find that it is impossible for you to be comfortable in hot weather. Heat intolerance may also be referred to as sensitivity to heat.

When you suffer from heat intolerance, it is often because your body is not regulating body temperature properly. Your body regulates its temperature by maintaining a delicate balance between hot and cold. The hypothalamus is a section of the brain that regulates your body’s temperature. When you get too hot, your hypothalamus sends a signal through your nerves to your skin, telling it to increase sweat production. When sweat evaporates off of your skin, it cools your body down."
